Since 2002, Turf Fire has performed at pubs, parties, festivals, libraries, assisted living facilities, and cultural societies throughout Virginia. We especially love to liven thing up with a rousing round of Irish pub songs around St. Patrick's Day! All of the band members enjoy performing, and we are known not only for fine music, but for cheerful bantering with the audience and insightful commentary on the songs, many of which have a historical basis.

Inspired by groups such as The Clancy Brothers, The Corries, The Dubliners, and the Kingston Trio, Turf Fire's wide repertoire of lively Irish sing-alongs, sea chanties, Scottish ballads, old style Appalachian music, and everything in between is sure to get hands clapping, toes tapping and voices singing!
