John Robison is an accomplished musician, historian and teacher who plays banjo, harmonica, fiddle and guitar.  He is a founding member of Turf Fire and of the group Southern Horizon. John has performed on the folk and bluegrass music scene for more than forty years.

Mary Jo Hughes plays multiple instruments in a variety of groups. Her main instruments are clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, guitar, and piano. She plays clarinet in the Richmond Pops Concert Band and plays other instruments in Old Time jams and gatherings with friends. A music therapist by training, Mary Jo sees music as a tool to bring change and joy to others.

Roger Reynolds is the guitarist and lead vocalist for Turf Fire. He has played in various ensembles, including rock, jazz, a capella and dance bands. He is a member of the group Southern Horizon, and performs as "The Singing Conductor" in Ashland's train events
